Full Thoughts

Long ago I used to be an avid blogger.  I had a different blog and people read it.  I had a decent amount of followers.  But every once in a while we need a change.

The problem is no one reads blogs anymore unless they are lifestyle blogs.  I am not even sure about those.  People like Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, etc.

I miss the luxury of being able to write out full thoughts.  I am not good with 140 characters.  But we live in a fast paced world where people don't want to take time to read full thoughts.  Everything is so disposable including our innermost selves.

I am not sure what the trade off is.  I don't have more time for not taking time.  I don't feel any better.  I simply miss being able to write out full thoughts.  Perhaps I will continue to do so even if it's just for myself.

I always want things to be perfect.  Life isn't perfect.  Neither is art.  I have offered up my first girl for adoption.  She is #4 and she was a bit of a problem child.  She isn't perfect.  She is unique and available for a good price due to her imperfections.

Mariposa

I'm feeling sad this morning. I finished Mariposa and I was feeling pretty happy with her. She was going to be my first girl released into the wild. I put her back together, and was testing things. Her eye mech wasn't working and I realized why. I could turn her eyes by hand but the pull strings weren't working. I had done one very small thing wrong. So I thought I would just take her back apart and fix it. The screw near the scalp was stripped. I tried everything I could find online to get it out. It wouldn't budge...then I cracked the tiny bit above it trying to get it out. I don't think there is much to be done at this point. Sigh~

Christmas Tidings

I finally managed to get out the camera and take a nice pic of Ariadne all done!  She is going to be offered for adoption after Christmas.  It will be hard to let my little girl go, but she wants to go out into the world and find adventure.  It's hard to blame her for that!

I have just started working on a new girl...who will she be?  I don't know she hasn't told me yet!   There is also going to be a new Blythe sized bear (hopefully) in the next few days.  Afterall a girl needs a teddy bear as a pal right?

Dear sweet R bought me some new tools and the urge to start this next girl is great.  But I must be good and finish my decorating and laundry and all those things that have to taken care of.  It's so hard to be good when you have new toys!

New Doll

I have begun work on a brand new collection, but first it's time to try customizing again!  I confess...as hard as it was I want to do it again.  It gets in your soul and you have to continue.  Wish me luck!

Fait Accompli!

Don't be too hard on me now since she is my first one, but she is done!

This was a difficult process and despite a ton of really good tutorials I made mistakes.  I guess that is part of the learning process.  Making her was quite an adventure.

It certainly makes you appreciate the people who are truly talented at this.

And now...on to finishing my Christmas collection!
